Our Story/Our Mission
Inktentions is a non profit organization founded by two renowned tattoo artists, based in New York City. Argentinian expressive realist, Emmanual Fortunato and Ukrainian cosmic colorist, Koral Ladna. Inktentions came to be from the concept that that tattoos can be so much more than beautiful art. Both artists belived that tattoos can also be powerful vehicles of transformation and manifestation.
Inktentions is dedicated to using tattoos as a way to turn trauma into empowerment. We offer free tattoos to trauma survivors. We believe that tattoos have a therapeutic quality that can transform pain into empowerment. This organization is committed to using the power of ink to transform lives, heal old wounds of the souls and body, as well as set new intentions. Inktentions not only committed to offering this pro bono service but also we are working on creating a nation wide platform to facilitate education and support for trauma survivors.
Our non profit offers free tattoos to those effected by everything from domestic violence, addiction, human trafficking, LGBT violence, rape, traumatic immigration, gang violence, childhood abuse, child loss, cancer, heart disease, body image, gender trauma, suicide survivors, veterans, burn victims, just to name a few. Inktentions mission is to take the scars of the past and turn them into art that empowerment of a new future.
Inktentions has created a series of mini documentaries about some of the stories shared by inktentioners. These stories are not easy to hear but must be heard. This way we aim to provide deterrents through education as well as inspiration to those currently suffering.
